I just pulled all the valves from my spare floats tonight and they are all grooved. Where's a good place to get replacements? Will any others swap from other bikes?

i've never seen one of those.... and i've rebuilt my carbs twice.
but ive always wondered what ya'll are talking about when referring to float valves

those are in the bowl pointy side up right?

Pointy side towards the top of the carbs. Of course, you'll have the carbs upside down when you pull the floats off so the pointy ends will be down relative to you when you see them.

I think the pre 600 has an o-ring instead of the rubber tip.
The rebuild kit I bought is really for the GS550,

The float valves in my 93 600 carbs look just like the ones in the pictures.

88-89 600s use metal tips with orings, and removable seats.

90-97 600s, and 89-97 750s use the same float needles that look just like in the pic.

If you removed the floats from the carbs, the needles are attatched to them. They hang on the tab you adjust for the float height.

The version that is metal tipped, and used an oring still looks the same over all.
