tank problems...

  • tank problems...

    so iv needed carbs for a while now.. just picked up a pair of 36mm mikuni's
    and forgot how the vacuum lines run on the tank... any suggestions?

    4th carb vacuum line connects to petcock

      There are no vacuum lines to the tank.
      They are either drains or vents. They all go to the collection of hoses that lead to the lowest part of the bike.

        but there is two lines on the carbs that are not fuel?.. figured they were vacuum for the tank

          Upper T connections between 1-2 and 3-4 on the carbs are vents, do not connect the other end to anything.

          Lower T connections are fuel, connect to the petcock (if you have the dual fuel intake lines)

          Vacuum line on the side of carb 4 (far right side as you sit on bike) connects to the petcock back side.

          Overflow/water drain line (center of tank), and the fuel sensor overflow/drain line (round silverish disk nipple) both just drain to the bottom of the bike. If you have a CA model tank, there will be one more "drain" on the bottom that is curved, this connects to the emmisions lines.
