The problem with CV carbs, is that velocty stacks dont work on them, they require calm smooth airflow, not the turbulent airflow delivered by running velocity stacks or open intakes. you're going to need to put an airbox of some manner on there if you expect that thing to run at all close to right.

If thats your fuel line running under the carbs that is the problem. Hook up an aux. tank above the carbs and try.
