  • HELP! Bike fell over in storm...

Had bike parked outside the other night and a bad wind storm came through and knocked over the bike on the right side. I dont know exactly how long it was laid over. However, when I picked it up it did start up and I ran it down the road for about 1-2 miles then it died. It acted like it ran out of gas. Everything still looks connect but it will not start now.

    any ideas??

It is a 1997 katana 600 GSX-F. Do you think the plugs just go fouled out?

Sounds like the vacuum line for the petcock might have come loose...

I'd pull the tank, give a look under.

ok, it is working now. Appears that all the gas went to only the right side of the tank.

I filled it up and it works now.

Yes I can see it easily happening. We have been having 50-60mph+ winds up here also the past few days. It nearly blew me across the damn road

Same here. The winds from the last couple days could easily blow my bike off the stand. Good thing she's in the garage.

that same bully wind came through upstate South Carolina too. My bike didn't get knocked over but this afternoon I almost got stood up in a curve by a gust of wind.
