    Since you install car stereos you might have the load resistor hanging around..

    Try like 10 ohm 25 watt...
    Used as a passive crossover..

      couldn't you use 4 10ohm 1 watt resistors wired in parallel to make the equivilent of a 2.5 ohm 4 watt resistor? I don't know what you have lying around but I thought that might work if the 1 watts were just a little to small.

      also, is there any difinitive answer of whether we should wire it in series with the light or as a load (parallel)? it would seem that the load would not dim the leds whatsoever while wiring it in series would.

        Kits I have seen have two resistors.
        One for each side.. I wonder if you could just use one at the flash relay itself..

        BTW they sell non current sensing relays and adjustable relays too..
