  • Unsure of which carb jet I broke.

Upon cleaning my carbs(2001 katana 600), I used a bit too much force on tightening this one jet and broke it, big oops!

In my Haynes manual, it shows this as the Pilot jet; but looking at the fiche online(http://www.carolinacycle.com/fiche_s...1998&fveh=2121), the only thing I can match it up to is the main jet(#15 in above link)

I'm a bit confused and don't want to order the wrong part. Any help is greatly appreciated!

It's a pilot jet. How'd you get it out?

Look at the end and see what number is stamped on it.
      Must read for carb tuners......http://www.factorypro.com/tech/tech_...m_engines.html

The parts fiche picture is wrong but the part description seems right, number 22-2 or 23.

Thanks for the quick replies! I got lucky and was able to get that bottom half out with needle-nose pliers and just rotated it out.
I didn't see that number stamped on it before but I was looking at the top end, not the side. It has 12.5 on the side, which matches to the pilot jet in the Haynes manual and #23 on the fiche.

          Thanks again everyone!
