  • backfiring, and popping

from what i have been reading, backfiring and popping are caused by the bike running too lean? since i bought it a month ago it has always done this....now that i put the factory-pro jet kit in( # 15 main jet, A/F screws 2.5 turns out, and the clip is on 3rd pos. down on the needle) it has gotten worse. should i try 1/4 turn out increments untill it is right? or is their something i'm missing. P.S. 96 kat 600, uni hi flo, yoshi full exaust. THANKS! P.S.S and my floats are at 14mm.

adjust your AF screws. Seat them then unscrew 2.5 turns out. Problem solved.

        Possible issues....

High flo air filter (too much air = way too lean, this worsens at higher speeds)
Exhaust leak/disconneted CA emissions without block off plates on the engine.
