After killing the transmission in my 93 750 I went out looking for a whole new engine. I found a 1990 GSXR 750 engine on ebay, I read through a tone of threads and everything I found said this would work so I bought it. Today I was looking at some info about the gixxers and came across this website http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Suzuki_...0_.28J.29_1988 . I'll go ahead and qoute the important stuff about the 1990 GSXR750.
"Although this model looks very similar to the previous '89 model many changes were made."
"The transmission output shaft was lengthened to accommodate a wider wheel."
"The rear wheel was widened to 5.5 inches (previously 4.5inches) but the tire size remained the same."
Well obviously my kat doesn't have a 5.5" rear wheel. Is the alighment of the sprockets going to be an issue? If it is what should I do to correct it?
I haven't recieved the engine yet so I can't visually see the difference.
