    Your main jets should not affect your idle in the manner your describing.

    2.5 is a good setting for the A/F screws. The pilot jets and float settings are the other 2 primary effects on idle. If you have not changed the idle pilot jets, then I would look at the float levels, and possibly lean them out a little.

      THANK YOU GUYS so much for your help!

      Took it for a ride and WOW no BS what a difference.

      I only took it to buy gas and back but I just have to say WOW!

      Although I still have to remove tank one more time in my excitement I forgot to put those little clamps on the carb sync port covers.But thats O.K.
      Im not a carburetor guru.

          The choke cable was "improperly" adjusted..My Bad!
          It was all down hill from there.
          Im not a carburetor guru.
