  • par system removal

Well, 2 things, does removing the cali emissions stuf give more power? Would a clogged cali emiss give you a gas smell, after the bike was running then shut off??

I have a 00 750 with cali emissions. when I ride for more then 10 mins and shut off the bike u smell gas. There are no leaks, removed fairings and rode bike to check.. it is running a little rich, but no gas smell when running.

That brings me to think the par (ck spelling) system is clogged, so I want to remove it.

    Any ideas or instructions?

Remove it. No ill effects at all. You will need to make or buy some block-off plates. You can make them by cutting the flats off the PAIR system, brazing or otherwise plugging the holes and using them as block off plates. Then take the hoses and the PAIR junction out and you're done.

Yeah , pretty basic stuff . I cut my own plates out of copper for all of $3 and an hour of my time . Don't forget the hoses under the carbs need to be blocked , too .
