need a pic of pre 750 carbs

  • need a pic of pre 750 carbs

    specifically the intake side

    got a stock air box and it has round holes
    go to put it on and the carbs are oval is this correct?
    or did they try to put different carbs on it?

    i hope all the other parts i got work

      Look like standard pre kat 90+ carbs to me.

      Your bowl drain screws are mixed up though...

        hmmm should i really have to stretch the hell out of the air box boots to get them on? they just dont seem to fit?

            something is definitely wrong

            i can get the boot on stretched to max and tightened with hose clamp and it pops right off

            widest point of the carb intake measures 2 and 1/2 inches
            widest point of the air boot is 2 inches

              600 and 750 intakes are a little different in size, but not that different... I've never put new airbox boots on, so I'm not sure. I would contact customer service where you purchased them to see if they can confirm the size the boots should be.

              Also keep in mind that in general, the air box and boots are a pain to get on with older stretched boots... much less new ones.

                bought the airbox from hs2020 here
                it is used so it should fit right on
                the part number on the boots are 13881-19EO
                i think the boots for a 750 are 13881-20EO
                lol anyone want to swap boots

                was all i could do to stretch it over and once on it popped right back off even with the hose clamp on it.

                  new boots from BikeBandit would run ya about $70. remember, there is a difference between the inner pair and the outer pair
                  99% of the questions asked here can be answered by a 2 minute search in the service manual. Get a service manual, USE IT.
