So is the general opinion that the best kit is a Stage 1 Factory Pro jet kit with titanium needles and stainless steel allen screws?! Or is the standard stage 1 kit just as/ or better than the titanium needle kit?!

The standard kit will work fine for you, No need to go to the titanium needles.
ok got the kit today and fixing to take the carbs off, any tips or anything from anyone about what to do or look for??? im going to check emulsion tubes while im in there and maybe even clean them if need be.

I dont have any experience with the Katana CCT but that looks really similar to the one on my 636.
