  • Spark Plugs

    I put some CR9E plugs in my bike. Now I see on here that its a CR9EK. Do I have the wrong plug?? It is running good so far. Thanx in advance.

    The cr9e has one ground strap and K has 2 ground straps

    It should be OK , spark will always jump the path of least resistance

      Its fine however they will need to be changed more often.
      they use the EK plugs on touring bikes and other endurance type engines because as the electrode wears the electrical current will switch to the other side (path of least resistance) giving the plug nearly twice the life of a standard single ground strap plug.
      This is why many MFG like Honda have switched over to Iridium plugs on many machines
