98 kat not starting

so I have a 1998 katana 600 and it always ran great,but now its not starting. I am pretty sure it is the electric start button. The fuse is NOT blown for the ignition. I am thinkin its the button because,the button worked sometimes not always. When the button does work,the bike fires right up! any suggestions on what I should do(I would assume replace the button or rewire it or something)if thats the case,how much is a button?

take the button appart and make sure all the connections are good

solder them if need be

and clean it well

Apply some contact cleaner while it is open.
