  • Cut Fuel Line

I was trying to get my bike running today and noticed there is a fuel line leak. It's cut just where it goes into the gas tank. Is there a way I can cut the line, then re-attach another line where I cut it off?

Like..a way to connect two rubber fuel lines together.

Why not just replace the whole hose? It doesn't cost that much and will prevent further problems from occurring. I personally like Tygon hose as it does not tear or cut easily and it last a long time.

Reason being is someone is coming in from out of town tomorrow to buy it and I wanted to have it running for him. Just looking for a quick fix.

if you are gonna take the time to fix it, might as well spend the extra dollar and put a new hose on it..

You'll spend more buying the connector and hose than just buying a new hose to replace the entire piece.

And the connector , aside from taking more time , and costing more , gives you more failure points ...... Just shell out the $1.39 for some new hose . Seriously , I mean , if I'M telling you this , then you gotta think something's up with that , seeing as how much on MY bike is rednecked .....

you can get double sided barb connectors to get the job done, but like others said, a new piece of line will probably be cheaper. Not to mention that the new owner may not tear things apart to check and you may be risking turning him/her into a fireball sometime in the future.
