the plates and the springs ARE separate, Barnett is the same way. There is no "kit" including springs. And the clutch "kit" isn't a clutch kit either, it's just friction plates, you gotta buy the temper steel plates. How do I know this? Cause I did. I have Barnett springs (1), kevlar friction plates (2), and tempered steel plates (3).

interesting check with Barnett and see if they offer that kit or if thats a kit that the seller put together. Barnett does not show a complete kit for ANY Katana. The 92-97 600 which I have is just a kevlar friction plate kit or carbon fiber friction plate kit. It does not show a complete kit for the 98+ 600 or 750. The GSXR 600 is the only bike they list complete kits for, I searched 600 cc's.Last edited by arsenic; 01-18-2009, 10:20 PM.

It will work just fine, but if you do a lot of clutch work (traffic) it might be more lever effort than desired. In the end it's up to you though90% of motorcycle forum members do not have a service manual for their bike.
