Does anybody else have a LOT of noise coming from their motor? I compared engine noise (not exhaust) to that of a GS500 and a GSXR600 and even an SV and all of them seem to be much quieter and smoother running. It's like the valves aren't set quite right, but the mechanic said it wasn't anything to be worried about. Is this a common thing or is there something I can do to make it run smoother? Any advise is helpful.

oil cooled motors are just plain noisier. they dont have the water jacket to insulate the sound, nor the thicker metal of the air cooled. Kat's just have that light sewing machine valve noise sound normally.99% of the questions asked here can be answered by a 2 minute search in the service manual. Get a service manual, USE IT.
