  • Choke Problem

As I pulled the choke lever back this morning, I felt an unusual amount of slack. The bike started right up and after about 30 seconds began revving high at about 4000 rpm, very unusual even with the choke on. When I pushed back on the lever it felt like there was no resistance and although it lowered the rpm a little, it was still revving way too high. I reached into the engine area with my finger and pushed the choke lever back and all was well. Is this the sign of something coming loose or a bad cable ?? Thanks for any info . . . .

It's probably sticking. It would not hurt to visually inspect and lube the cable and slide (located on the carbs). There are also plungers that the slide is hooked to that could use some lube.
