  • Finally I heard this beast run . But revs up wayy to much .

I just got my 95 kat 750 running for about 7 seconds lol . It revs up and I hit the kill switch before it goes to high . What do you guys think is the problem ?? I tryed adjusting the idle screw but I figured I should ask you guys before I went back out and tryed messing with it again .

I would've guessed the idle screw too. I've heard of older bikes getting rust on the throttle so it's automatically pulled back a little. That's probably a rare case but couldn't hurt to look into it. Good luck.

Hard to know without more info.....but to me it would suggest the throttle cable/lever is binding and needs to be lubricated.

either what everyone else has mentioned or it desperately needs the carbs to be balanced. id check what they say and then if you get a chance maybe go through the carbs n do a cleaning while checkin it out.

make sure your throttle cable is routed correctly, your bike shouldnt rev itself due to carb problems, thats a throttle cable deal. Turn the handlebars left to right and see if that helps
