  • Mpg Difference With Sprocket and Jet Kit?

I want to get an ivans jet kit in my bike but I dont know if the loss of mpg is worth it. What will i expect to be getting if i am getting 40 mpg now? What could I expect with a torque boosting sprocket change? I have an 02 katana 600, and am looking to beef it up But like the comfort of the katana. Thanks for any replys

You could even gain mpg with a jet kit properly installed. You would have to ride in a way that encourages increased fuel mileage. That's the catch since when you install a jet kit it usually makes you want to explore the new found power and responsiveness.

As to the gearing change your looking at, it would almost certainly decrease mpg in the same riding conditions as before the change.
