  • Popping sound question

So I was thinking of removing the Cali Emission crap from my 750, then I did some searching. I found a thread on a similar issue. In it it says to get the block off plates and connect the vac hose from #4 to tank. everything else should be ok to remove... Sounds good.

In the mean time I have a popping sound when I release the throttle. It is bad till It warms up, then not as noticeable. I still have all the emissions stuff hooked up. but nothing going to the headers since I have a full Hindle exhaust on it.

Question is, do you think that the hoses not being hooked up are whats causeing the popping? The bike runs great, idles at 1200..

Nope, was told it was already jetted. Like I said besides the popping, it runs great... Even had it up to 120 one day to see how it would run..

Try turning the A/F screws out 1/4 turn and see if it is better.

I have the same problem - just a little burble on decel. This will clean it up nicely.

I think you can also try raising the needles a clip, but I'm not expert on tuning.

Are you running 87? The Bandit pops like crazy on super, so I started just putting regular in.
