  • Special bulb???

My RR turn signal bulb blew. Any bulb I can find at an auto parts store that fits in the socket, apparently has too much resistence and won't caused the flasher to operate. When I swap rear bulbs, the problem is fixed. Do I have to go to the dealer for a bulb???

there should be a number etched on the glass or base of the bulb add NA to the number if amber class
you should be able to get at a Napa or auto parts store

My front left turn signal went out and I've had troubles finding a replacement ever since. It is a 1156, Small Globe, 23W/12V, (dual filament), staggered notches at the base, and I can't find this thing anywhere. The only ones I've been able to find have the notches even. Tried filing one of them off, but only able to get the signal to flash, not the constant light.

I replaced my flasher with a $3 "car" flasher. Plugs right in, and works great with any bulb you can find. Only caution is that they are not weatherproofed like the factory flashers, so you may want to put some silicone around the terminals. Even if it does go bad, it's $3.
