Pipes,exhausts/ holed.fixes.

  • Pipes,exhausts/ holed.fixes.

    Can the pipes be braised with copper etc to fill a few holes. not big ones as far as i can see. will a braising hold considering the pipes will get mad hot ??.

    Yes it will hold just fine but use brass not copper.
    A coat hanger works just fine for steel but will have to be painted over.
    Just stick with brass or bronze rods

      Thanks. I assume then, maybe wrongly that i can do it myself with one of them little torches. Not sure of mealting point with brass though.

      Alternatively i have a mate with bottles. I'm not worried about the brass colour being visable on the exhausts as the bike is original condition road bike with her age showing well but not perfect. As long as she is not blowing out and sorted im happy.

      I see you have youre bikes listed under youre posts. Can i do that too even though only one is a Katana type bike ???.

        goto "usercp" and then click on "edit signature" anything you put in there will show up under all your posts in the signature box.
