  • Is there a how-to for Ivans'?

I've looked all over, is there a step-by-step for installing the Ivan stage 1 kit in an '01? or does anyone know if the kit comes with bike specific instructions?

and also, one of cyberpoets' threads talks about not installing them in warm southern states because it might cook my oil? i'm in dallas, it's cold now, but will be very hot this summer... should i install them at all?

two of the items on my LONG list of intended mods is the Ivan kit and a timing advancer, both of which, i'm guessing, will make the bike run hotter.

    thanks!

You'll be fine with the jet kit, but might want to read up on ignition advancers.

The process is essentially the same regardless of year.

I would substitute a self-tapping screw for the drill bit for removing the caps on the a/f screws.

You can always go with a heat range cooler spark plug after tuning it and adding the timing advancer.
The cooler spark plug will help remove more heat from the combustion chambers. If you find the spark plugs are carbon fouling easily then go up a heat range.
