  • push pull throttle???

on my 03 kat 600 there is a system called push pull throttle.
    things i know:
    it has two cables
when moved back it opens the carbs
when pushed forword it closes the carbs.
what i would like to know for no reason at all except to better understand this is why did they design it that way, what are its up and downs. how is it compared to the old fashioned single cable throttle.
at this time i do not have a problem with it, i just want to learn as much as posible about the things i dont know.
thanx for your time guys and girls.

to make vehicle's safer they did that. There is no benefits to it at all, other that you can close the throttle if it don't snap shut. The down side is that 2 cables takes up more room than 1.
