  • EK Master Link

Within the next few days I plan to change my chain and sprockets. I went with a DID X-ring chain, but unfortunately DID apparently doesn't make a clip style master link. My goal was to use the clip link to get me to a shop where they could rivet it for me. So a guy at sprocketcenter.com told me the EK screw type masterlink would work for me. Does anyone have experience with these? Can anyone confirm how well this works with the DID chain?

And finally, it didn't come with any instructions. Any advice on how to install it?

Is the EK screw style master link good enough for a permanent solution?

I love the new automerging doublepost feature. I am always adding another thought after I hit the submit button. It is going to cut down on my number of posts though

Question: When I read about making sure the "chain is straight" or "aligning rear sprocket", are these just referring to the alignment check from the center of the swingarm pivot to the center of the axle on either side?
