Oil leak on my R1

Damn dragon hurt my bike.... it started to leak right after our last run when we were on vacation...


Pulling the stator cover off today to put a new gasket on... hopefully that solves it...

Anything I should be overly concerned about??

I've read that you don't need sealant, and read that others reccomend it... Any KR's input would be welcomed and appreciated...

The gaskets on my ZX9 are a rubber covered steel - no sealant required. Imagine the R1 would be the same.
As long as there are no nicks in the gasket it should seal OK
