  • Changing steering bearing

Hi, I'm now in the process of changing the steering bearing on my Katana GSXF600 1988.

Thanks to The CyberPoet he gave me a good tip to buy AllBall bearings. They look of a better quality then the plastic one that were there before.

Right now I'm facing 3 questions:

-How can I remove the bottom bairing... this thing is stuck there without any grip to push it out.

-If it's stuck this hard now how will I be able to put the new bairings in place?

-Do both bearings go like this, Thick part at bottom, Rollers, Thin part and seal on top ? Or is it reversed from one or the other?

    Thanks for your help

    regards

you need a bearing puller to get that bottom bearing off.

It does not seem like a bearing puller is necessary. I went to the mechanics an hour ago aand he used a wood cisor to get it out of there. Took him 20 seconds.
