Hi,

maybe a stupid question but I never tried this before. Is it possible to use a grinder bit on a regular drill instead of using a dremel? Will that work to grind down the to install the valve?

It would work just fine. You are just grinding down aluminum. Heck that grinder would probably be real fast!

Just be very, very careful not to grind something you aren't planning to!

+1 it is actually easier to slip and make a boo boo with a slow speed tool like a drill than a high speed grinder.

You could surround it too so in case you slip, you don't gouge the pan. But with a steady hand, you will be fine.
