Best Carb choices for 600

Well... you guys are the ones to ask. I am putting a 600 Kat motor into a 89 GSXR 750 to race in a certain Vintage class. I have no experience with these motors, so I though I'd ask here. I have 89 750 carbs that I will prob be trying first. I use Mikuni Flatslides on my 1186 (other race bike), and was also curious if anyone has tried some Mikuni RS36 flatslides on a 600 kat? This 600 will have to race agianst old FZR 400s, EX 500s, and such.... 70-75 hp is what it will take to be competitive. Are there any other cheap mods for the 600s? Thanks for any input...

I would think that 750 carbs on a 600 will run like crap.

Well... usually larger carbs (within reason) with aftermarket exhaust, are usually the hot ticket. I dont have any experience with the 600 Kat motor though...

You might have problems getting the 750 carbs to work... ask they are at least 2mm wider than the 600 carbs to start with. There are a few threads around here about that...
