Do you run the same weight oil during cold and hot months?

I ride year round except for the coldest month of the year.

The summers here, in ne Oklahoma, produce several 105 degree days and are generally hot and muggy.

I run 10/40 Castrol gps. Wondering if should change for the summer to something higher(20.50 or something) or if 10/40 will be fine. 3k miles is my oil change interval.

That's exactly what I do here in central Texas. During spring before the really hot time and fall before it really cools back off I go to a blend of 10-40 and 20-50, then 20-50 for the summer and 10-40 in the winter.
