choke

hey my choke on the the bike has been brokn sinc i bought it but i was able to still ride by manually pushing in the choke but i bent it now i cant get it to move i tried taking the tank off to try to pull the thing with pliers no use. whenever i try to start it it wont turn over and backfires any ideas or suggestions are appreciated

Is the cable still connected ? If so , disconnect it , bend the rail back straight , and it SHOULD still slide like it's supposed to . Either get a new cable (like $15 from ANY dealer) , or just use your fingers or a wire tie on the rail .
