    Oh yeah! That was just a few peices I grabbed for a quick pic. There was A LOT of metal throughout the engne. I honestly don't think much made it past the screen in the oil pickup.

    Does anybody know why second gear seems to be a problem on these bikes? Is it operator error, oil that is not at spec, or just a bad design?

        I've heard that is caused by not using oil that is the correct spec. Something about the acidity or something in it. I've always used just regular Castrol 10W-40 (that was in my '01 GSXR) because I put so many miles on that bike.
