pre 98 kat 600: i'm having a problem with my tailights, they don't work, i was wondering if anyone knew if they run off the ignition switch or head lamp circuit, cause all my wires are connected to the lights, i checked and i don't have any voltage going back to the lights, i didn't want to have to tear the whole bike down(fairings) if i knew which general area to look at.

    Tail lights?
    Brake lights or turn signal?

The turn signals/ brake lights only work with the ignition
on.. So when ever the head light is on.

I'm not sure of there is a fuse.

Check your fuse box located behind your right tail fairing. you dont have to take the front fairings, just the 2 bolt holding the front and rear fairings and the rest of the bolts for the tail. 6 bolts total.

My bulb used to blow all the time.

Remember its a dual filament bulb so the brake light may still work while the running light does not.

I think it was from the fact that the enclosure wasnt really air tight and the vibration from the exhaust.

        Went to LED lights
