anyone know dirtbikes? (kx250)

So my current project is a kx250 (1992)

Has anyone put new new pistons and rebuilt the engine if it does not have good compression? If so, how much work is involved and do i use a sleeve or does it need to be bored?

also, where can a carn rebuild kit be found, hard to find online

not true you can bore up to so much then replace the sleeve thats why dirt biek piston go sttock1 stock2 stock 3 which means how many times its been bored and replated some of them go up to 6 on the hondas.

mine is a 1999 kx 250 and it is a nikasil cylinder you have to send it out to get replated as far as the carb rebuild kit try www.denniskirk.com
