  • Dual Exhaust

    Question:

Is there a way to put dual exhaust on a 2006 katana 750?

It would be more for looks than power gains, always liked the dual exhaust look.

Run a Y split off from the collector, 2 custom mid pipes, and use 2 slip on cans you want.

This. You will need the oil pan and pickup in addition to this.

No. Never heard of one. Matter of fact, this is the fist time I've heard a request like this. Most people go from 2 cans to one.

i like the dual cans.. give symmetry to the bike.. not the best for performance but i think it looks good.. still toying with building my own dual set up... someday..

One more thing, have fun finding slip ons for that setup. Next to impossible to find unless you have a lot of patience on Fleabay or CL. Or if you are comfortable fabbing metal, you could find some slip ons and make em fit.

Old GSXR1100's came with duals as well. Might be a better flowing setup than the Katana stuff.

There are several newer options for "dual" OEM exhuasts off other bikes. Some model GSXR1ks have duals. The Z1k has some killer looking dual can, dual exhausts. Just to name a couple.

As stated many people ditch the stockers, and put on after markets. This means that the stocker exhausts are generally sold off... and go for cheap for an exhaust setup.

Yes, takes some modificaitons to make them work, but it's not hard or that expensive to have an exhaust shop fab up mid pipes to make it work.
