So what parts exactly did you get?

I did the same thing on my 99, i had some 2" X 2" aluminum angle and used that to make mounts, as far as the license plate light, i took the stock one, and mounted it inside the tail at toward the rear, and cut 2 3/4" holes above the license plate so the light will reflect down through the holes and light up the license plate.
