short pipe write up for mattaua

well I cut my exhaust off as you can see bought an exhaust tip for $25 at pepboys and some muffler tape for $5 then went to the bike shop got some muffler packing for like $7 and 3/16 rivets packed the muffler around the baffle taped the end of the pipe drilled some holes and riveted it on not a big deal took like 45 mins but i still kept mid stand bumper. hope this helps you can ask for more advice form the katrider's team have fun and good luck! my first write up http://katriders.com/vb/showthread.php?t=106543

it was on another thread, but now I can't find the video

I'm still tossing around the idea of trying this out this weekend, I just have one concern after taking another look at these picks. On my bike (pre 98) the mufflers are mounted/welded to the same bracket as the passenger footpegs. It looks like they are not on a post, unless you just cut them off. Anyone know if there is a way around this??
