  • engine year identification?

already tried searching, even looked in my haynes manual. how do you find out what year of engine you have? i know where all the serial #'s etc. are but how do you decipher them? bought an 89 750 to put in my pre 600. wanna swap cams if possible, but how do i know if its a gixxer of just gsx? hope im not overlooking something easy. it is oil cooled too....

imho they suck jeff, chinto's is the only one ive seen that has been mounted properly. i am currently in the works pending approval to bring pre98 600 solo cowls to the market for a price that competes with solo cowls from airtech and is guranteed fitment with no modifcation and ready for primer and paint. hand made from polyster resin. i'll wait to give more details til i get approval from the admins

It will look as good as you mount it. The amount of time you spend getting it right and drilling the right holes determines how good it will look.
