what is the spring for where the can meets the pipe


because i lost mine in the last week or so

I'll presume its a race exhaust can, if so its simply because its quicker to pull a spring than undo a bolt when you want to remove the can & it ensures the can is fully located on the secondry

have a look at either yoshi duplex pipes or some acra's they are in about 15 bits all held together by springs
