I got a 13/48 on a 06' 600 & I've got as good as 44.5 MPG's, usually around 38-40 but I get in it the throttle slot & have a yosh pipe, K&N filter, & a dynojet kit(she runs great). I agree with some of the others gearing doesn't change fuel MPG to much IMO. Its more in how hard u ride it.

Also I'm a dummy I bought a 17 4 the front without doing research, it wouldn't fit at all, without modification ( don't know y they even list & sell it 4 th
        e kat)

you got a 17 tooth? hell i bought an 18 tooth i had to remove the stud an bolt all-together that others had to grind down a bit for a 16 tooth. but my 18 tooth is on there an working. the reason i changed mine around is my 08GSR has a ratio of 2.44 16 front an 39 rear
an my kat has a ratio of 2.50 18 front an 45 rear i may swap it to a 16 tooth she feels a little sluggish but after 5k rpm she is ready to Move!!!!
