Pre 98 Exhaust - Can it be Disassembled

I was told that a Kat exhaust can be disasebled. It seems to me that it's welded. So I thought I'd run it by the fine folks at this forum for a second opinion.

Please give me some insite. Maybe that individual is thinking of the post-98 Kats, can those be disabled?

I don't recall seeing any rivets or screws on the stock pipe . Why you wanna disassemble it anyway ?
