  • It's the little things

Well, I have loved my 05' Kat since I got her this time last year but now after a few parts here and a mod there now she is perfect.

    THEN

    NOW

    Whats been done...
    - Removed all the stickers
    - smoke windscreen
    - black oxidized spike aluminum bar tips
    - black clutch & brake levers
    - clear front signals
    - cat eye rear signals
    - clear LED brake light
    - Scorpion slip on
    - Ivans jet kit

and the final touch (finished yesterday)
    - powder coated signal/plate bracket & tail chop

    On the future wish list
    - Spedo healer (off by about 5MPH and driving me nuts)
    - white cluster with blue back light

Just thought that if everyone else can show off then I can too.

Does that year model's Bar ends fit the 1999 Katana? If so, would you be interested in selling them?

I like it alot. I am looking at something similar with my 06 Kat.
I also want to replace the bottom plastic with black. I think it would look good in all 1 color.
How does the exaust sound? I am looking at a new exaust, but I do not want one that is loud, I just think the stock one is kind of big and a little ugly. I want one that is small, but not loud.

The Scorpion is not loud, I think it's actually a little quieter than stock. But it sounds great, just the right amount of rumble and kick to make the Kat purr. The stock pipe sounds high and winey where as this slip on makes a world of difference. I didn't see much of a change in the power or response but it sounds 100% better.
As far as the lower fairing goes I really like the way the slightly lighter color offsets the rest of the bike. I don't think it would look nearly as good with a solid color from tip to tail.
