  • are headers still available for a '94 600?

New here; I just picked up a '94 Katana 600.
Once I get it fixed, I'd like to put a 4-into-1 header on it. I've search around some, but haven't been able to locate any. Any ideas?

The most acclaimed for our bikes is probably the SS2r from Vance and Hines...which is an entire system including the can. It's not very expensive either...relatively.

also available new are systems from Yoshimura, D&D, and Scorpion

98+ stockers will fit. Some modifications required...

Just the oil pan...it's in the way of 98+ headers....

          so you can...

          a. modify the oil pan (pound pound pound!)

          b. get a 98+ oil pan (bolts right on)

There's threads around here that cover it too.

Seth I live down here in Nashville. So if you need some help I can get with you and help you out. I ride out by Center Hill Dam all the time. I should be out that way this coming Saturday and Sunday.

Welcome to KR and enjoy the ride.

The pipe is slightly longer. You can either cut it down, or build an adapter to hang it.

You don't HAVE to change your oil pan. You can install a 98+ factory header without changing oil pans. You just have to slightly dent the pipes where they hit your current oil pan. There are a few people on here that have done it, and written about how to do it.

But like steves said, the length of the midpipe where the muffler attaches is longer. You can either cut down the pipe, or you will have to make a bracket by the passenger peg to support the muffler itself.
