Winter Project

Well I have decided to do a little winter project on my bike. I have a 2000 600 and I got the updated tail section (thanks bmwerman) but its a different color, so I'll need to paint the bike. I'm going to keep the upper half blue as my gear matches it and I like blue. I'm going to get the lower cowl now black.. Wrapped in Carbon fiber with a big Suzuki Logo across the bottom. The rims will be black not sure if I will just paint or get them powder coated yet.. I'll be getting a new battery, New Chain and Sprockets, hopefully an aftermarket exhaust... Leaning towards Delkevic Carbon Fiber. Jet kit and carb cleaning again (runs great, just a Bi%&h to get started after it sits a week.. I'll also get some new decals for the bike.. Would assume something like stock but in Carbon Fiber and some Carbon fiber accents to go on the bike. I'll get some new mirrors and Hope to get some new gauges (if I have the cash). I would also like to get new brake lines as well. I'll try and get pictures as when I'm doing this, but hopefully its done by spring

Can't wait to see pics, sounds like you know exactly what you wanna do. I like the look of CF. Looking forward to seeing what all you do with it. Good luck!

Thanks!.. I like CF as well.. I just don't want to go overboard.. Hopefully I can find that fine line of nice and not tacky.

I am definitely interested in seeing the black cowl changed to carbon fiber. I like the dark cowl as it stays cleaner but find it a bit boring.

Little Update..

Well running a little behind as its almost spring, but I got the bike sanded down and ready for paint. that should be done in the next week or 2. I had to fix a crack in the bottom cowl but that I will be taking to a graphics place very soon to see about the CF wrap. Everything else is still in the works, but I might not do black rims. My cousin has Black rims on his GSXR and says they are tough to keep clean. Any thoughts?

Decided to actually take my time and sand down the parts correct and fix some cracks etc.. The skins should be in primer tonight. I also should have pics for the next post.

Alright so I got all the pieces except the bottom fairing done..I was just going to do the tail conversion and paint the tail but figured all one color. Here are some pics of some of the pieces at random points. I went with a Blue like the stock color with a silver pearl in it (had to change something since i put the time in it).. The picture of the front of the bike was last night around Midnight in a low lit garage so its tough to tell. The left fairing painted is the only pic with a piece with clear on it.. The tank is painted but no clear. All thats left is bottom fairing wet sand, buff, polish. Hopefully that gets done Saturday.. I'll get some better completed pics.
