Well, went to repair a small ding in my "new" tank, and figered I'll just take it to bare metal in a samll area. After sanding I discovered 8 ( yep I said 8) different colors plus the corrisponding primmer coats. If that wasn't bad enough, about half way down is a layer of some crap that may just be truck bed liner or rubberized undercoating. It just melts and gums up everything as soon as you hit it. Long story short, after realizing there was just no way to feather anything out and get it to look good I broke out the old sandblaster and went to town. Now it looks like a new tank and it was all fun and games till I blew a hose and enden up sandblasting the inside of my arm but thats a whole other story.
