  • FAIRING HARDWARE KIT PRE 1998

if anyone knows of somewhere i can get a kit for the fairings on my 1996 kat. it appears the previous owner just pick up random screws, washers, bushing, nuts, from anywhere he could find them. i might have two bushings on the whole skin. any push in the right direction would be greatly appreciated thanks

I remember pricing fairing bolts, the spacers, the rubber grommets, and washers and it was a couple hundred bucks. so i said screw that and bought some stainless allen head bolts and washers from a local store.

id say depends if you want a set of coloured or anodised bolts. if its just a set of plain silver colour bolts id go down to your local hardware store im sure theyll hook you up for around half the price!!

                      keep telling this....
NEVER use stainless steel bolts! they will eat away your frame.

do a search on contactcorrosion and you'll see what I mean.

WHAT ? Guess I'll be doing a search. Nothing a little Locktite can't fix though.
