I was told that before I ride my bike anywhere , I needed to warm my tires.. I really have no clue about this because I am not racing .. I am just riding from point A to B. Again I am new to the whole bike thing learning everything I can .. thanks guys for all the support..

No need to worry about it. Get on and ride. If you were planning to throw it down hard around corners and such then the tire would need to be warmed up via riding some first so that the rubber is nice and sticky for grip.
Just be leary that cold tires will not provide the same level of grip as warmed up tires so dont hop on and try to drag a knee around the first corner...I am a Penn State fanatic.
Why is the sky blue and white? God is a PSU fan...

+1 For regular riding, always keep in mind that for the first few miles/minutes, your tires are "cold" which means they will have less traction then once they warm up after a few miles.

I suspect the outdoor temperature in your area never gets near freezing
I am usually guilty of braking a little harder than my tires can grip every spring and fall but that is near freezing or belowBlood , its in you to give! http://www.blood.ca/
