Is the rims width measured from lip to lip? As if I'm trying to see how big a tire I can fit on the rim so I need to measure it

The size should be stamped on the wheel.90% of motorcycle forum members do not have a service manual for their bike.

The pre is a 3.5" rim on the rear, and the post is a 4.5" rim.
Generally speaking, a 150/70/17 or a 160/60/17 respectively.-Steve

The only way it would be a wider rim, is if the swingarm had been modified to accept a larger rim. The 5.5" rim won't clear the stock swinger.-Steve
