Is the rims width measured from lip to lip? As if I'm trying to see how big a tire I can fit on the rim so I need to measure it

Are you measuring the inside or outside of the lip? It's measured inside to inside, just a heads up.

yea i started to look around more on the here and other sights and i saw that it was from the inside. i measured from the outside but if it is actually a 3.5" wheel then that would be a 1" overall difference from O.D. and I.D. a half inch on both sides. if it is a 4.5 then ive got the opportunity to get a 160 for cheap. the whole reason i started measuring.

The size should be stamped on the wheel.

The pre is a 3.5" rim on the rear, and the post is a 4.5" rim.

                Generally speaking, a 150/70/17 or a 160/60/17 respectively.

The only way it would be a wider rim, is if the swingarm had been modified to accept a larger rim. The 5.5" rim won't clear the stock swinger.
