  • 1998 katana 750 replacement tire

Hi, my bike currently has the stock tires, Dunlop D205's. I am in need of replacing my front tire. According to the research I have done, The successor to the D205 is the D220. Then I read further to discover Dunlops newer tire the Roadsmart, which is supposed to replace the D220. Based on that & the reviews I have read I have ordered a Roadsmart to replace my front tire but planning on keeping the D205 on the rear until it is done & then replace it with a Roadsmart also. I am just wondering if anyone has experience with the Roadsmart on a Katana & if running it with a D205 on the rear will be a big deal since the tires are the same manufacturer & similar in make since they progressively replaced each other. Any feedback is appreciated. Thanks

I don't think you're gonna find much love for Dunlops here. Most people are running Metzler Z6s or Continental Road Attacks (I personally have these), but I'm sure one of the resident experts can answer your question.
